A long time ago there was a kingdom called Medang Kamulan.
The kingdom of Medang Kamulan was ruled by Prabu Dewata Cengkar. The people in
the kingdom were very scared by the king. It was because the king liked to eat
human flesh. Once a week, he commanded his messenger, Patih Jugul Muda, to find
him a human to eat.
Prabu
Dewata Cengkar : “Find me any humas
for my lunch!”
Patih
Jugul Muda : “Okey Prabu.”
Not far from the kingdom, there was
Medang Kawit village. A young man with a great supernatural power lived there.
His name was Aji Saka. Everybody liked him because Aji Saka was nice, diligent,
and kind hearted.
One
day,Aji Saka saw an in the middle of forest. The old man was wounded. A thief
just hit him and stole his money.
An Old Man : “Help me, please! Please!”
Aji Saka : “You’re safe now, Sir.”
An Old Man : “Thank you, Son. What is your name, Son?”
Aji Saka :
“My name is Aji Saka, Sir. If I can know where are you from andwhat are you
doing here, Sir?”
An Old Man : “I’m
from Medang Kamulan Kingdom. Everybody was leaving Medang Kamulan.”
Aji Saka :
“Why?”
An Old Man :
“The King, Prabu Dewata Cengkar has bad behavior. He likes to eat human flesh.
Every day he ate the flesh of a human being powered by Patih Jugul Muda. Everybody
were terrified, that’s why we left.”
Aji Saka :
“I must go to Medang Kamulan to give the king a lesson. He had to stop his bad
behavior, eating human.”
An Old Man : “Kill
him, Son!”
Aji
Saka then went to the kingdom. He was wearing his magic turban. When he arrived
in the kingdom, the king was angry to Patih Jugul Muda. He was not able to give
the king some humans.
Prabu Dewata Cengkar :
“If you can’t find me any humans, I’ll eat you instead.”
Patih Jugul Muda :
“I’m really sorry, Prabu. All the villagers already saved themselves by leaving the kingdom.”
Prabu Dewata Cengkar :
“Find them and bring them to me!”
Patih Jugul Muda :
“Okey, Prabu.”
Then Patih Jugul Muda saw a young man. The young man was
Aji Saka.
Patih Jugul Muda :
“Who are you young man? What are you doing here?”
Aji Saka :
“I’m Aji Saka from Medang Kawit village. I want to meet the king.”
Patih Jugul Muda :
“The king is very angry now. You can be his lunch.”
Aji Saka :
“ I’m not afraid.”
Prabu Dewata Cengkar :
“I’m glad you are here. I'm starving.”
Aji Saka :
“I would gladly let you eat me. But I have one request. Give me your land with the size of my
turban.”
Prabu Dewata Cengkar :
“Are you kidding me? You just have a small turban.”
Then
Aji Saka took off his turban and threw it on the ground. The king and Aji Saka
then measured the size of the turban.Suddenly the turban grew bigger and
bigger. It finally covered the whole kingdom. The king was totally angry. He
knew Aji Saka was planning to take over his kingdom.He then attacked Aji Saka.
With his supernatural turban, Aji Saka twisted the king’s body and threw him
into the ocean. The king never returned to the kingdom.
Patih Jugul Muda :
“You were killed the king. It’s means, you are the king of Medang Kamulan
kingdom now. I’m really ready to be your messenger.”
Aji Saka :
“Help me to bring all the villagers to come back here.”
Patih Jugul Muda :
“Okey, my leader.”
Aji
Saka and Patih Jugul Muda then asked the villagers to come back. They all were
very happy. One of them was an old man that Aji Saka was found in the middle of
forest.
Aji Saka :
“Do you want to come back to the kingdom, Sir? I killed the king. I lead the
kingdom now.”
An Old Man :
“I’m really happy hearing it. Okey, I want to back there.”
Aji
Saka then ruled the kingdom wisely. He led Medang Kamulan kingdom into golden
moment. The people lived happily and peacefully.
